Maybelline V-Face Duo Stick | Swatches | Review | Demo

Hey Guys! Sorry for the gap, been busy traveling. Can somebody please tell Maybelline to hold onto their horses!! Maybelline is launching new products every month. They recently launched V-Face contour range which includes a duo blusher, duo powder and duo stick. They also launched Dream velvet foundation and Lash sensational mascara.

I chose this duo stick because the other products weren’t that appealing to me. The duo powder has a weird v partition to it which makes it difficult to apply as I use a huge brush to pick up product. The blusher duo is also good but I wasn’t looking for a blush.

I was searching for a good cream contour shade for so long, I have tried many cream contours but most of them had pink undertones which looked extremely weird on face so I was looking something with yellow tone to suit my skin. There are two shades available; medium and dark. I bought the shade medium because it had yellow undertones. I didn’t buy it online for the same reason, I got it from a lifestyle store in market city Kurla.

Price: 650/-

I also got Free gift because of Diwali offers.

The Idea behind this whole range is to get that V sculpted ans contoured face which is so in trend in the MNY Fashion Week.

Packaging:

I love the packaging for all the V- face products. The only thing I don’t like is they don’t come with proper carton, They are wrapped in plastic with all the details engrossed on it; once you tear it, it’s gone. The stick is very sturdy, the cap is not flimsy and closes perfectly. I has instruction on it for beginners.

Review:

The product is extremely creamy and blends effortlessly. I have never used a cream contour product which is so smooth as butter and blends easily with fingers without being patchy. I would suggest you swatch it at store to see if it matches you. Medium shade will suit fair to medium tone skin but won’t look good medium-dark to dark skin tone. The Highlight in here is good too but not great. It is good for everyday use but you need to set it with powder highlight. The highlight is more on silver tone than gold so wont look good on dark skin either. There is good amount of product and can last for long time. One stroke is enough, you dont need to layer it.

As you can see I have applied the dark shade on the hollows of my skin and on the parts which according to me needed more definition like my nose, my jawline and chin. Just use your finger to blend the product, you can also use buffing brush or sponge. You can use highlight according to your preference, I have used 3 swipes here to acheive this intensity; otherwise it’s quite sheer.

Pros:

  • Amazing quality.
  • Affordable, Easily available, good amount of product.
  • Great packaging and easy to apply.
  • can be used on daily basis.

Cons:

  • Not many shades and undertones available to suit every skin type.

As you can see I’m high on pros and less on cons, It’s a total yay from my side.

Rating: 5/5.

It’s really amazing to see brands launching Contour products in India. Loreal also launched their bronzing duo which I swatched and liked. I would totally suggest you to try out This range and if you are a beginner, It’s perfect for you.
