Hello! Can’t believe we are half way through August! And I’m busy pre-writing blogs as I have tests from this weekend toughlife.

If you read my blogs regularly, you know how obsessed I am with Korean beauty and I’m trying to bring out the best of K-beauty other than the brands which are already available in India and much talked about. Today I have for you a new brand which is not so known but took me with a surprise.

BHA:

Beta hydroxy acid works mainly as an exfoliant. It causes the cells of the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin) to become “unglued,” allowing the dead skin cells to slough off, making room for the regrowth of new skin. Beta hydroxy acid is reported to improve wrinkling, roughness, and mottled pigmentation of photo-damaged skin after at least six months of daily application. Beta hydroxy acid that’s found in skincare products works best in a concentration of 1 percent to 2 percent and at a pH of 3 to 4.

Tea Tree:

Tea tree oil’s healing properties have made it a key ingredient in facial skin-care products. The plant exhibits antimicrobial activity towards a wide variety of bacteria, making it ideal for acne-prone skin and skin disorders. The oil is known to combat and soothe psoriasis, eczema, redness and dermatitis. It is also beneficial to troubled complexions and congested skin, thanks to its low toxicity and its ability to treat without irritating the epidermis.

Review:

Packaging:

Not lying but the first thing with attracted me to this product was it’s packaging.

The product comes in a cardboard box with all the details mentioned on it in both languages, English and Korean. It was very satisfying to see the details in English as most Korean products skip the language which makes it difficult for most to understand the product furthermore.

The actual product comes in this frosted, semi-transparent high quality plastic bottle with looks and feels like glass. It has good weight and sturdiness to it which is very appealing. The bottle has a laminated label which is very good. There is a pump which dispenses the product and works quite well. The product is Travel friendly and travel efficient.

Fragrance:

It smell quite a lot like tea tree as it’s it’s main ingredient. There is also a tinge of alcoholic smell. The smell is not quite bothering and it goes away after some time of application.

Usage:

I use this twice a day, once in the morning before getting ready for college and then at night before sleeping. In the morning, after cleansing my face, I use this and it helps me with my pores and also helps me with smooth makeup application. It is very important to apply spf during day time as BHA breaks down the upper layer of dead skin, making the skin vulnerable to sun and may cause serious sun damage.

Pump product on the palm and pat in with your palm on the face, then massage it onto the skin using circular motion. Leave it to dry for a minute.

Consistency:

The consistency of the product is quite liquidy and thin. It is very watery which makes it easy to apply and absorb into the skin. After application, it does not feel greasy or oily but very moisturising to the skin. There is a bit of stickiness to the skin which goes away after some time.

Final Verdict:

I wasn’t expecting this product to work much as I’ve seen many products which make plenty claims but fail at it. As so you know, I have pigmentation on my face, from uneven tone skin to acne scars. They all eventually come back. I was really hoping for this to work against that.

Ever since I’ve started using this, my skin has got a glow from another world. This has made my skin look so smooth and all the imperfections blurred out. It takes time to act on severe blemishes but it actually work if used continuously. It controls sebum secretion to an extent but not as I want it to. It is fantastic for normal to combination skin but for super oily skin like me, it needs a bit more.

It makes the skin feel soft, smooth and supple. Great for dry skin as well. Doesn’t work on acne or white heads blackheads.

Overall, a product to look out for. I really enjoy using this and has become a major part of my skincare routine. Highly recommended for someone who is looking for something to get over those dark spots.

Hope you like the review. Comment and share it with your friends. Till next time, Stay Gorgeous.

Love you all. xoxo- Bareen.
